Thank You to all the Volunteers who have spent thousands of hours helping at the Park. Many people who use
the park have commented on the great work we do. Partnerships for Parks has given us an award certificate and
luncheon. Each year the Parks Dept. Give a volunteer dinner at the Bronx Zoo. Governor Paterson sent us

are involved in. We have created a Master Plan, gathered volunteers from all over NYC, help planted over
3000 sapling trees, over 2000 daffodils, cleaned the waterfront many times each season, painted trash cans &
BBQ tables, recycled over 50 bags of plastic bottles from the water front and more.
100 Volunteers Attended the Event Friends of Ferry Point Park Dotti, Alice, Geanine, Sal,
Lucia, Victor, Maria and others Led the Event Mariane and others led most of the Scanlan Volunteers Maddy and others
led the Girl Scout Troops Thank You all again for your help
200 Chicken and Beef Hotdogs were served with vegetarian
chili available as well. (All the Fix'ins plus water/chips/pretzels/corn puff balls)
